Day 23 Chemult, OR

What a day!!  We hit the road early this morning and didn't stop until we pulled in here after 8pm.  We left Trinidad and headed north up to the Redwoods.  Amazing country!!  First, we hiked out to a waterfall through big Redwood trees on an incredible trail.

Then we did the drive thru redwood tree and there in the Klamath River was...a grey whale!!  We got to watch it for quite a while.  Then we went to a place called the Trees of Mystery a cool hike through the Redwoods which includes a gondola ride up over the tree canopy.  Neat-O!!

After lunch, we hit the road on hwy 199 heading east.  Nice drive and not as windy as 299 but still pretty slow going.  Lots of National Forests and National Rec areas between here and there.

We are staying tonight at the Dawson House Lodge in Chemult, OR about a half hour from Crater Lake National Park which is our first destination tomorrow.

Haven't heard from Mom and Dad tonight but I am guessing they are in Branson at a show having fun!!
